Cost of admission is $100 per person, which includes dinner, desserts and open bar. Prior to becoming president, Julie Silbermann, a Livingston resident, served as a B’nai Abraham Vice-President and held several vital temple leadership positions, including Board of Education Chair and PTA President. In addition to her various Temple B’nai Abraham responsibilities, Julie serves with distinction in the Initiative for Children’s Health Sub-Committee at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, Dean’s Council at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and the Northern NJ Cabinet Member for the Campaign for Bucknell University. Previously held positions include The Pingry School Board of Trustees, The Pingry School Parents’ Association President and Bucknell University Parents’ Board Member. Her husband Max Silbermann is also an active participant in synagogue programs and a temple committee chair, along with serving as a community leader in Livingston Soccer Club events. Reflecting on her presidency, Julie noted at the synagogue’s annual meeting in January, “This is a bittersweet moment for me. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my tenure as president of Temple B’nai Abraham. I have tried to do my job with enthusiasm, inclusiveness and integrity. I hope you will all extend the same courtesy, dedication and diligence you have so graciously afforded me to the next administration, trustees and lay leaders.” She added, “I wish incoming president Bruce Greene, his new administration and the new Trustees being installed tonight all the best. Work hard, have fun, accomplish a lot. Thank you for your commitment to Temple B’nai Abraham to make all these wonderful activities, committees, and events continue to happen.” The event is stewarded by TBA Ways and Means Co-Chairs Erica Facktor, Amanda Fiverson and Illana Lebersfeld with Journal Chair Tara Heyderman and Catering Co-Chairs Joni Cohen and Renee Cohen.
