Jazz historian and educator April Grier (Rutgers University) will explore the childhood beginnings of famous Jazz figures Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Miles Davis and follow their musical paths to success. Maplewood's own, Salimah Latham, will perform music selections.
