Community Congregational Church, Short Hills, invites everyone to a Palm Sunday celebration on March 25, with worship featuring a musical blend of contemporary and classical styles. A children’s Palm Sunday service project to pack bags of groceries for the elderly in Irvington begins at 9:45 a.m. with a light breakfast. During 10:30 a.m. Family Worship, children are invited to parade in a reenactment of the Palm Sunday story, waving palms and singing hosannas. The Rev. Dr. Johann Bosman begins the Holy Week sermon series “Knowing Real From Fake” by posing the question, “How authentic is the power and life you create?” After Worship, everyone is invited to enjoy a brunch with family favorite dishes, while kids and kids-at-heart may dye and decorate Easter eggs. A spring outreach project in conjunction with the Irvington Board of Education, will provide playground equipment for Irvington schoolchildren.
