Summer Mix: Featuring the Maplewood Concert Band

Maplewood Community Music presents Summer Mix, featuring The Maplewood Concert Band on Wednesday, June 25th at 7:00pm. The band is under the musical direction of Michael Jedwabnik, Conductor and Ginny Johnston, Associate Conductor.Featured music for the evening include Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma, highlighting crowd favorites such as “Oh What a Beautiful Mornin’”, “The Surrey with the Fringe on Top”, and the title number “Oklahoma”.Additional selections include “The Rakes of Mallow”, by Leroy Anderson, Billy Joel’s “Billy Joel in Concert, by Billy Joel, and “Departures" by Naoya Wada.The concert will be held at The Gazebo, on Springfield Avenue in Maplewood at 7pm. The gazebo is located in Maplecrest Park next to the Hilton Branch Library. It's suggested that you bring chairs or a blanket.This concert is made possible in part by The Maplewood Foundation, Maplewood Division of Arts & Culture and Maplewood Community Services.
