The Gap Year Advantage

Learn the many benefits of taking a gap year before or during college as well as some of the potential challenges involved. This workshop covers the variety of program experiences available and highlights current research on how taking a gap year affects a student's performance in college. 

Sample student scenarios illustrate how a gap year can be structured to match students' varied interests with program options, and a list of resources will be provided. 

Led by KATE WARREN, an accredited gap year counselor and Director of Research at the Center for Interim Programs.
