The Village Sunset Music Series has been conceived to be the background sounds to your outdoor dining experience, in our #pedestrianfriendly Maplewood downtown. The Friday and Saturday music series will feature the talent of locally-grown musicians. Maplewood Division of Arts & Culture in collaboration with Maplewood Village Alliance, are injecting much needed energy and rhtythm to the streets of our artsy town.

Come eat and stroll, while enjoying the masks on-socially distanced performance this week!!

Bruno L. Lee, also known as ‘The Trumpet Man,’ performs Gospel, Jazz, R&B, Reggae and other genres of music, is a resident of Maplewood, NJ and an Alumnus of Hampton University, Hampton, VA. Bruno began his trumpet playing at Quitman Street Elementary School, Newark, NJ and attended and graduated from Newark Arts High School, where he further honed his trumpet skills and further developed his appreciation of music.

Bruno has performed with musicians such as Trumpeters King James Gibbs III and Dave Gordon, singers Dwight West; Angel ‘Lite’ Garrett; Darryl Coley; Tramaine Hawkins; Donald Malloy; and bands such as Bet HaShem, Craig Mitchell Band, FELT, Stuff Bros., Pidgin Droppings to name a few. He has also had the pleasure of performing with Dominic Chianese, singer/guitarist, founder of Joy Through Art and star of the Soprano’s TV series.

He performed at Newark Symphony Hall in the show ‘When Praises Go Up,’ and you might have caught him performing at Hat City Kitchen, Orange, NJ; Papillon 25, South Orange, NJ; Trumpets, Montclair, NJ; the Central Jersey Caribbean Festival, Somerset, NJ; the Gospel Concert Music Series, Ocean Grove, NJ, Downtown After Sundown, South Orange, Maplewoodstock, Maplewood, NJ and many other venues in and around town. .
