"rigor" is just a word for needlessly stressed out kids and full employment for mental health professionals

That is what I think every time I see the word used as it was in the letter about the end of IB released today.


I agree. To me it means pain for pain's sake, as though excessive difficulty/length/time is necessarily better. The only time I want to experience rigor is when I'm dead.
