Aaron Rodgers to the Jets

I hate him.  I like the Jets.  What a dilemma.

Same.  No faith in this deal at all.

Yeah, I don't see it.  I don't think the Jets are as good as people think, and I think Rodgers is on his way down.

He's a tool. If he takes us to the Super Bowl, he'll be our tool, and we'll love him. But he's a tool.

No, I don't love the move. But I didn't love Zack Wilson.

I saw someone say we should've tried to pry Lamar Jackson from the Ravens.

The Jets didn't give up much to get him.  The front office actually made a good trade, imho.

He has to agree to mentor Wilson, and really mean it.  Yes, they didn't spend much draft capital, but he is expensive and will cost them some free agent flexibility.

It's hard to believe they have any faith in Wilson going forward (I don't either). If they could get a decent mid round pick for him, I' think they'd trade.

I think any narrative that involves Zack Wilson is BS. The Jets won't have him sit behind Rodgers for a year or two and THEN pick-up Wilson's 5th-year option. Ain't gonna happen. Wilson is gone.

I hoped for the best for Wilson but I don't think there is a single facet of his QB game that shines.  He's just not good.  Jets better hope (against all franchise experience) that they stay/get super healthy because that's the only way this idea that they are an (old) veteran QB away from a superbowl has a remote prayer.

Well then they had better win now, because they will need a new QB in two years, and they will destroy anyone they draft.  That is the only organizational consistency with the Jets.  It is where young QBs go to die.

Massively dislike Rodgers, almost as much as I hate the Jets. A match made in Buffalo heaven. GO BILLS !

So, are the Jets going to be a football team or theater troupe?  The choice of Rodgers make me think the latter.

They went after Rodgers for one reason. To win now.  Period.
