American Idol - winner announced

(Don't read further if you haven't seen the show and want to) I may be the only one on this board who watches American Idol.. The winner was chosen tonight and she is just a darling girl with an unusual and great voice. Her name is Maddie Poppe and she's from Iowa. The runner-up Caleb Hutchinson admitted that Maddie is now his girlfriend..

You are not alone. We just watched it on DVR.  Maddie was great.  IMO, there were better singers.

I haven't seen the last few - Ada was a standout: 

I felt the critique from the judges was a bit lacking this season.

The critique was horrendous. I thought Jurnee and Michael were excellent too.
