i saw her on a segment of Law and Order.......She could do drama well also. RIP
In January 1989, Rolling Stone published this letter from a reader in response to the magazine's Comedy Issue (which featured Johnny Carson and the Man of This Month, David Letterman, on the cover):
Yes, stand-up is great, but as a Carson or Letterman interview with a fellow comedian often shows, two can be funnier than one. From Laurel and Hardy to Cheech and Chong, twin billings built an empire all their own: Abbott and Costello, Burns and Allen, Rocky and Bullwinkle. In the past decade the only thing sounding remotely like a comedy team is Bush and Quayle. What happened?
Rumor had it the submitted letter's list ran long and required editing. A judicious trim: Burns and Schreiber. But it pained the writer to see Stiller and Meara miss the cut.

I keep thinking that when I see it!
Known to many of us as half of Stiller & Meara and to the young'ns out there as the mother of Ben Stiller.
I always loved the way she made me laugh. R.I.P.
