Anyone know what happened to Monty Motors?

This was my go-to mechanic ever since I bought a used Mercedes a few years ago. Drove by today and see that it's been shut down.

Seems abrupt. Anyone know what happened?

Question 2 - anyone know a good Mercedes mechanic?

Was not this planned for some time, with housing to replace it?

Yes.  Large fourth and valley development coming.  Discussed for almost two years. Demo has started on fourth Street.  

Surprised that the owners never mentioned that they were going to close up if it had been known for so long. Did they move somewhere or just close up shop?

btw - I'm a W.O. resident, so I don't get too involved in the SOMA development issues.

I don't know what their plan was as far as reopening because I have a Toyota, but I'm surprised their customers didn't know, since it was all public.  I would have assumed that they would have told folks.
