Best Device for Movies/FB/etc.?

I spend most of my time on my company-owned laptop, but they no longer permit us to use Netflix/HBO Go/etc., nor to log into Facebook. If that was all you were going to do on a device, what would you buy? Size? I'd like a larger screen than a phone, but ipad-size would be fine. (Guess I will have to travel with BOTH these devices now, which is a pain.) Appreciate the input.

I use an iPad mini for around-the-house web surfing and video watching, but mine is 3 years old and even after cleaning out all the photos, deleting extraneous apps (not that I ever installed that many), etc., I still find it slow and increasingly annoying to use, never mind the stupid UI and Safari issues that get on my nerves. Perhaps the newer ones, or ones with more memory, are better/faster?

I have a five year old iPad 2; it's 64G. It's slow on Facebook when clicking on external links sometimes but I blame the app. I do online yoga most days and have no issues. I watch movies sometimes with no problem but I do prefer my tv screen for movie viewing.

Facebook I use on my phone almost exclusively. For streamig, we have an Amazon FireStick plugged into our TV which works great

I use my ipad mini for just about everything. It's super useful, and it still works like a champ after two years. It has gotten only a little slow. I guess my experience might be like jasper's, which means I'll get another good year out of it.

I am pretty happy with my Chromebook.  It has great screen resolution for video and is fast.  But, it is the size of laptop (although lighter in weight), so you might not want to be traveling with your company laptop and a Chromebook.

I use my laptop and tablet but just bought a Google ChromeCast device so it streams to my big screen tv.  I like watching movies and such on a bigger screen than the tablet.
