Pretty sure Furry Hearts has their own scanner. Not everyone reads MOL. "Found cat" flyers w/ pic posted in the surrounding area where the cat was picked up may help find its way home, too.
H'mm. That doesn't bode very well. Still, I hope someone claims him soon, whether it's his original owners or a new loving family. Is he, er, intact? or neutered?
That makes me think it's less and less likely that his original family is looking for him or wants him back. Reserving comment on that.
What resources are there in the area for re-homing an adult cat or getting it out of an unhealthy/unhappy living arrangement? Another poster has started a thread about finding a new home for a friend's cat, because the friend has had to move back in with family, her stepfather is highly allergic, and the cat has been overgrooming out of stress. Trying to help find a way to take the strain off all concerned...
