Depending on where you live, local bus to PATH, to subway might be an option at that hour, even on the weekend. Doubt Coach buses are running at that hour but check out NJT website and PATH website for schedules and possibilities.
Holy MOLY! I feel like a fool! How did I forget about the Path? And how did I not know it ran all night long? Thank you, Joan! Although, maybe no thank you because now I might actually run this race tomorrow! :] I could take a car to Newark and then the Path into the city. You are the best.

Hi there, fellow runners! I am registered to run the Brooklyn Half tomorrow. For the past month or so, I hadn't planned on actually running it. However, as it nears the 11th hour, I'm starting to consider it. I looked to see if public transpiration was an option and it's not. The first train into Penn arrives at 6:45 AM. Probably pushing it if I want to arrive via subway by 7:15.
I'm about to give up the idea again, but this is my last attempt. Anyone going? Anyone want a companion? I don't need a ride back, happy to take public transport home again. But if you are heading there in the wee hours of the morning, and don't mind a passenger, do let me know.
If you are going and you're NOT driving, how are you getting there? I would stay over, but this is a last minute thing and I don't want to leave my husband with all three kids Friday all the way into Saturday. :]
