Buzzsaw's Blog

Dave and I were there, we didn't see you?

Monday approaches........
the week will bring much canned fish.

(....the following is a coded transmission......)

A week from today I could be this

All alone, or in twos,
the ones who really know you -
walk up and down, outside the wall.

Some hand in hand....
Some gather together in bands...
The bleeding hearts and artists,
Make their stand.

And when theyve given you their all,
Some stagger and fall -
After all its not easy....
banging your heart against some mad buggers wall.

For me, album "the wall" has not aged that well - from a musical point of view.
though the words still hit the mark for me.

Lucid Dreaming is knowing that you are dreaming while you are doing it. When you know that you are dreaming, you can also alter the dream course. And with practice you can also develop full control over your dream, you will be able to create and change the environment and change your own appearance. It will be you that are in control of the dream scenario. You can do whatever you want to do. Live out your wildest fantasy, or just sit down and chit chat with someone. You should also be open for the possibility to share dreams and travel in time and space when you develop adequate control over your dreams. The word Lucid means that you have a clear and full consciousness. And believe me when I say that Lucid Dreaming can be much more fun than waking reality.

Socialite Paris Hilton was born on February 17, 1981 in New York City into the Hilton family and, along with her three younger siblings, is heir-apparent to the vast Hilton hotel and real estate dynasty. Her childhood was spent in palatial dwellings in the priciest neighborhoods on both coasts and featured a brief flirtation with the educational system, including high schooling at the ultra-exclusive Dwight School, from which she dropped out and ultimately earned her high school GED.

I used to have a lot of respect for Buzz, but then I realized that it was all a sham. Buzz had Monster-sized balls; however, now, I realize that they were detached many years ago and simply reside on a stool at Bunny's...or not - they could be hidden underneath his mama's couch [by him]. That could all change if he were to step up and keep his word. Buy the shots, damn it.

Six Tips for Happiness

Advice from Tal Ben-Shahar.

1. Give yourself permission to be human. When we accept emotions -- such as fear, sadness, or anxiety -- as natural, we are more likely to overcome them. Rejecting our emotions, positive or negative, leads to frustration and unhappiness.

2. Happiness lies at the intersection between pleasure and meaning. Whether at work or at home, the goal is to engage in activities that are both personally significant and enjoyable. When this is not feasible, make sure you have happiness boosters, moments throughout the week that provide you with both pleasure and meaning.

3. Keep in mind that happiness is mostly dependent on our state of mind, not on our status or the state of our bank account. Barring extreme circumstances, our level of well being is determined by what we choose to focus on (the full or the empty part of the glass) and by our interpretation of external events. For example, do we view failure as catastrophic, or do we see it as a learning opportunity?

4. Simplify! We are, generally, too busy, trying to squeeze in more and more activities into less and less time. Quantity influences quality, and we compromise on our happiness by trying to do too much.

5. Remember the mind-body connection. What we do -- or don't do -- with our bodies influences our mind. Regular exercise, adequate sleep, and healthy eating habits lead to both physical and mental health.

6. Express gratitude, whenever possible. We too often take our lives for granted. Learn to appreciate and savor the wonderful things in life, from people to food, from nature to a smile or a nice turntable.

I need more of these

(open letter to woman sitting in front of me on airplane)

I am sorry. I am a bad person. I am not sure exactly why I did what I did. It was a long flight, made worse by what I saw as your sprawling Indifference to spatial relations. Sure I could have sprung for a first class seat - I know that I am over six feet tall and my legs are the last of your worries. But why? Why did you have to put your chair all the way back. I mean ALL the way. I am pretty sure that you squeezed more out of that chair's recylning feature than the average traveler.

As a rule I don't like to travel by airplane. I feel I can get to all the places I need to go by using my feet or maybe a wheeled device. I don't like breathing other people's air and their bodily gasses. I just don't. I took this anger out on you.....and your chair. That is why, in the euphoria of hearing the DING of the "stand up and get your luggage" bell did I make a flippant remark. All I did was tell the truth. I was asked how the flight was and I said, "great - I had a strange woman's head in my lap for three and a half hours". This was by definition a true remark.

hahaha - but seriously, you are a bad person.

absolutely the baddest, nice remark.
you should have commented about the sexy explosion and not to worry about the goop in her hair.

best stress dream EVER?.....

I am in the passenger seat of car while my 5 year old drives. This is fine, for a while in dream land. We talk...he drives. Then I think to myself - wait he can't drive! Then he decides that he is too tired to drive and we start swervin' and I grab the wheel and drive from my seat....and then RT 78 turns in to California US1 up there by Big Sur.

(by the way, have you ever had a chance to drive that US1 out there in California? Wow it is nice)

I woke up in a coooooooooold sweat.
