I often copy and paste images from Google Images (and other Internet sources) into Gmail. A few weeks ago, that capability stopped for no apparent reason. Now when I try to copy and paste an image, instead of a picture I get numerous lines of meaningless characters.
At first I thought it was a Chrome problem, but the same problem occurs with Safari. I can drag and drop an image, but not copy and paste it. I use a Mac and OS 10.9.5.
