Cat in tree - help

My cat who has never been in a tree got loose and climbed high in our back yard.  She’s scared and doesn’t have a clue.  It’s Saturday night so no tree service to call.  Any advice please.

You used to be able to call the fire department.  Maybe try them and ask for advice?

Maybe also try St Huberts?  I don't know if they handle that kind of thing, but maybe they know someone who does.

did you open a can of food or tuna at the bottom of the tree?

shes just scared and frozen, meowing  - won’t come down for food.  Fire department said “she will just go higher if we come”  but calling them back is next step.

Georgia finally shimmied to a smaller plumb tree and fell out and we got her. But with us was this great cat rescuer who drove from Ridgedale to help us and was climbing the tree to get her when she fell out.  Rob is the best. https://www.lifewithcats.tv/2012/05/04/arborist-rob-gillies-to-the-rescue/

Oh, so cute!  I'm so glad she is safe.

So glad it all worked out!

From previous experience with cat in tree (for 3 days), Maplewood FD cannot be bothered with such trivial cases.  The Chief was extremely callous when I spoke with him.

How much did Rob charge for his services?  It is not my cat and I don't have any extra money laying around, but if it isn't too crazy of a price I will find the money.

My tree is definitely an easy climb but I am still in a cast so me climbing is out.

you would think FD would at minimum have the list of cat rescuers and refer people......we had a couple cats in my neighborhood climb a 15-20 foot tree....they got themselves down safely....the trunk was 15-20 feet with nothing else to help them.
