Christie Abandoning Common Core for New Jerset

I'm surprised nobody has posted on this yet. i saw it on last evening's news. He wants NJ to create its own standards and not be subject to the Federal education bureaucracy. In reality, it seems like it's an attempt to get to the right of Jeb Bush in the hearts and minds of conservative voters. I don't have a strong a view about Common Core as I do about a governor who is willing to use state education policy as a tool to blatantly pander in an election he can never win.
