A young man who just graduated from Columbia HS is in a mini-series (6 parts, each 5 minutes) which is distributed over the web. The link is below for Part 1. The series is sponsored by Qualcomm and it is, of course, about some products of theirs. For us, the big fact is a recent CHS grad is in the series, one of 8 people pulled from across the US and one of the two high school kids in the program.
Qualcomm was a big supporter of CHS Robotics in its very earliest stages.
By coincidence the ad agency project manager lives in town and contacted me as head of the Robotics program at CHS for some recommendations. I gave several names, including the one who made the cut.
His name is Lincoln Black, African American student, and is part of one of the 4-person teams. Lincoln is a whiz at robotics and now at flying drones. He was a charter member of our drone club last year, can easily fix anything, and a really great guy! He starts at Rutgers in the fall.
