Did you feel a rumble?

Just now our house shook a little - earthquake?

We felt it too.  Live near Maplewood Village.

Maybe for 15 seconds. It was long.

I really felt it. Seemed like an earthquake. Scary.

Was on a Zoom with people in a few other parts of the state - they felt it in Bergen county, not the person in south jersey though

Whole house shook. Neighbors' too. Plymouth Ave.

Center was Lebanon NJ according to USGS. We felt it here in suburban Boston. 4.8

Yes, and my sisters felt it in Philadelphia and in the area suburbs.

Just breaking in N Y Times - A magnitude 4.8 earthquake shook buildings across NYC area. around 10:20

yeah, my son in philly just texted me about it.

all is quiet here in Ohio.

Changed to 4.7. Epicenter ,Lebanon,N J.

My neighbors across the street and next door here in Ocean County felt it — neither me or my cat did! Family in NYC and Maplewood did.

My daughter working from home felt it on the third floor, I felt nothing on the first

I'm out in Long Valley. Apparently the epicenter wasn't far from here. At first I thought it was the dogs screwing around upstairs....

this is a good time to point out that logarithmic scales are useless to about 99% of the population.

Log scales are fun and I will say it ten times.    Also, who started the joke that there will be an eclipse on Monday?

I felt it more in my attic (3rd floor) office, but it was definitely noticeable on the first floor also. I guess it really depends on the ground underneath in the various locations.

Startled me but quickly checked News 12 figuring it was an earthquake. Pretty cool.

My instinct was to check here first.

Yes.  Chair I was sitting in started shaking.  A photo fell off the bookshelf.  Strongly suspected it was an earthquake.

I get the feeling it was worse in places farther from the epicenter.  I was just on phone with a colleague who lives on a high floor in a building in Battery Park City and he was genuinely scared that his building was going down.

My house shook for a good 30 seconds. That was not just a rumble.
Just heard some streets in Newark are blocked off because some houses are deemed unstable. Some houses are leaning. I guess in the coming days we will get more info.
