There used to be a recycler on Morris Ave just off Burnett. I bet he is still there. Probably won't pay much, but will most likely take them.
It's easy to get scrap metal picked up. There is a value in it. We got rid of ours by posting ads on craigslist. We had several takers.
The Department of Public Works picks up metal on an appointment basis. You can call 973-762-1175.

That sounds like the best deal, because I presume the town gets the money for it.
We had some scrap metal in the form of old pipes. DPW said they wouldn,t accept it. How come Vic?
We put ours at the curb for bulk pickup. Gone night before
DPW it is. I would rather someone benefited from it than just put it out on bulk pick up.
REVO luggage $100

We have some metal car parts (struts and strut mounts) very heavy, that we need to dispose off. I remember that there were guys who at times picked up scrap metal. Does anyone know if someone still does who would care to come by and get them? I can leave them on the curb, but not sure who to call.
