We have an old Dell desktop that must be 10+ years old and hasn't been used in over 5 years. We need to dispose of it but it might have personal info (financial records, etc) on it so need to know how to safely dispose of it. We no longer even have power cable so it might be best to destroy it (how?) and then bring it to electronic recycling. Anyone know how to remove the data before recycling?
