Earls of Leicester at SOPAC- Grammy winning Bluegrass

This show just came on my radar and it looks great! My husband is a big bluegrass fan and I think he'll really enjoy it. Plus, they just won a Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album!

Led by fourteen-time Grammy Award-winner and three-time Country Music ‘Musician of the Year’ Jerry Douglas, The Earls of Leicester features some of Nashville's most talented musicians, including hit songwriter Shawn Camp on guitar and lead vocals, bassist Barry Bales (Douglas's cohort in Alison Krauss & Union Station), fiddler Johnny Warren (son of Paul Warren, legendary fiddle player in Flatt & Scruggs' Foggy Mountain Boys), mandolinist Frank Solivan, and acclaimed banjo player Charlie Cushman.

The Earls of Leicester is a tribute to the music of legendary bluegrass pioneers Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs and their band, Foggy Mountain Boys, whose seminal work in the ’50s and ’60s created the template for what we know as contemporary bluegrass, and popularized the music with an unprecedented mass audience. The “original” Earls were Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs, dobro player Josh Graves, fiddler Paul Warren, tenor singer and mandolinist Curly Seckler, and bassist Jake Tullock.

I really want to see this show but I have to work that night LOL .

I just bought tickets and it seems like there are still quite a few left. I'm sorry you have to miss it, @judy3x =(

I just bought tickets also. Was able to get 3rd row side orchestra. This should be a good show.

This concert was rescheduled due to the snow, and will now be September 19. Plenty of time for more folks to buy tickets!! We're really looking forward to it.

@judy3x maybe you can attend now!

Yes I can and its my birthday!

So excited can't wait!

Just bumping this up - the show is Saturday night and it should be a great one!! It looks like tickets are still available, but primarily in the mezzanine. It will be our first time checking out a SOPAC concert so I'm really looking forward to it.
