If you want authentic cheese you can't do much better than 1958's "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman." Loaded with unintended laughs. It's so bad it's good.
FWIW, we’ve just started binge-watching all the old Northern Exposures. Yeah, full of cliches but it’s nice to remember how easy it once was to watch an evolving story.
(I know it’s not a feature film, but three eps takes as long...)

I remember watching that as a kid, along with The Amazing Colossal Man.
Army of Darkness. No need to watch the first two Evil Deads to enjoy Sam Raimi & Bruce Campbell's gem....

Harry! Harry! She gets sweet revenge on her philandering husband, and in 1958 no less!

Where are you able to see episodes of Northern Exposure? I'm dying to binge on that.
My other half found a downloadable set on a share site. He’s out now, I’ll see if he can remember when he gets back.
Our local library also has dvds, but you can’t copy them.

Hulu has it
Lanky, thanks for your research - D can’t remember where he got our set.
We’ve just started on Season 2. Season 1 had so many gems, including a Trump joke, and yes, we get to meet Chris’ brother that early in the series. (I thought it was later)
I like the quiet tributes to other shows and films, the slow revelations and development of the characters. And it doesn’t have horrible overdone music and laughter behind every scene.
The first Conan movie with Arnold.
That Flash Gordon movie from around 1980.

Army of Darkness is good but a bit of a rehash. Evil Dead II is the true masterpiece. It's amazing to go back and see so many tropes that have become common place in modern film (the bullet's eye view, for example) assembled for the first time. Groundbreaking and funny as hell to boot.

Army of Darkness is fun but have to agree that Evil Dead II, the funnier bigger budget remake of I, is the best of that trio. BTW, the now cancelled Ash v. Evil Dead TV show was quite good for a while.
We like to watch the Hollywood version of the original Godzilla movie - where they inserted Raymond Burr randomly into the movie and dubbed the Asian actors voices. It's especially enjoyable if you watch the original and Raymond Burr versions back to back!
I still like the 80s remake of The Blob, with Kevin Dillon and Shawnee Smith.
The original Death Race 2000 seems more prescient each year, and it is worth seeing it, and then the sequel/remake Death Race 2050 (ignore anything else with Death Race in the title).
Tough to beat Road House.
"Pain don't hurt."
"You're too stupid to have a good time."
"You wanna fight, d---less?" "Well I sure ain't gonna show you my d---."
In the comedy lane, Moving Violations. If you can't afford top stars, get their siblings:
John Murray (bro of Bill)
Jennifer Tilly (sis of Meg)
James Keach (bro of Stacy)

Conan! Yes yes yes. I came to this thread to tout it. Even the second one is worth watching. The one with Grace Jones.

You're calling Northern Exposure cheesy? OK then color me unsophisticated. I loved that show.

I think NE was just a thread tangent. Nothing cheesy about it.

So I'm looking for something to watch, and come across Road House, which I've never seen.
I read a bunch of IMDB reviews, and a slew of people gave the movie an 8-10 rating, calling it one of the greatest cheesy movies ever.
Anyway, I'm watching it now, and it's pretty entertaining. And with a supporting cast of Sam Elliot and Ben Gazzara, and Swayze's Philosophy degreed bouncer who does Tai Chi at dawn, how can you go wrong? Plus there's boobies.
That got me to thinking about favorite low-end movies. Guilty pleasures if you will.
Any favs out there?
