Freeze Warning - what to do?

Do peonies that are starting to break ground need to be covered?  If I don't cover them will they still bloom this year?

you'll be fine.

I was thinking of throwing some burlap over my hyacinths, but I don't know that it will make any difference.

Thanks joy and jasper! I've been waiting three years for a good display of blooms.

I have tulips already blooming.  I think we will be alright too.  I don't think one or two days will make a difference because it is not consistent for a week or more.   I think once we get past this couple of days we are going to see lots of colors and flowering !

For the record, I was too lazy to do anything, and our hyacinths are still going strong. It's gorgeous out now. Not that I could have covered them, but our pear trees are still looking beautiful as well. It's just the prettiest time of year.

This morning my tulips were bent over and drooping and I thought they were gone.  The sun has been on them all day and are revived with newer blooms.  I am so grateful as I love flowers.
