How to find an old Facebook post based on who commented on it?

Is there any way that I could locate a post I made if I don't remember the content/keywords but I know a specific friend commented on it? (i.e. search for all posts I have made commented on by that friend?)

I would start in the FB notifications page/tab. This will narrow down to mostly posts that have been commented on or that you're tagged in and from there you can easily scan for your friend's name, see if it's the post you want? That's how I search for activity on mine.

I'm looking for a post from a year or so ago, and I don't see notifications going back nearly that far. But the posts themselves are all there, I think (?)

From a computer, click on your profile name right next to "Home", it will open a search box to the left with your name on it, click in the box...the first thing that came up for me was "elizmccord - posts" to the left it gives you options such as "posted by you, your friends, friends and groups" towards the bottom it gives the option of choosing the year in which the post was made...this will narrow it down. The posts are all there though...you could scroll down probably back to your first ever post. HTH.

Thx ... I wish there was a search box once you get to that view ... I make a lot of posts (for better or worse) and the slightest interruption seems to send me back to November of 2016 and I have to start all over ... sigh!

That's helpful, @ElizMcCord, so thank you. It is frustrating that Facebook owns the stuff we post and doesn't offer a flexible view into it.
