Hunter S. Thompson, Cowboy Junkies and me
In the video there's a fire extinguisher in the foreground. Crazy as he was, he was still a journalist.
Then he, or whoever, proceeds to incorrectly use the fire extinguisher. The device is supposed to be aimed at the base of the fire.
I agree but as Spontaneous pointed out he was probably trying to put out the burning mantle...

Someone on Democratic Underground posted the video of Hunter S. Thompson almost setting his house on fire. Youtube (Hunter S. Thompson, The Burning of the Christmas Tree). I suspect alcohol and other substances may have been involved.
Anyways, while the house almost goes up in flames, Cowboy Junkies is playing in the background. C.Js are scheduled at SOPAC in February. I wasn't going to go but after being inspired by the video, I logged on to SOPAC and what to my wondering eyed did appear, but a single, front row seat. It is now mine.
