Hurricane Patricia

Another super storm. Reports are that Patricia, a Category 5 monster with 200 mph winds, is a record-breaker. Godspeed to those in its path.

The Hurricane Center in Miami warned that preparations should be rushed to completion, saying the storm could cause coastal flooding, destructive waves and flash floods. “This is an extremely dangerous, potentially catastrophic hurricane,” center meteorologist Dennis Feltgen said.

Feltgen said Patricia also poses problems for Texas. Forecast models indicate that after the storm breaks up over land, remnants of its tropical moisture will likely combine with and contribute to heavy rainfall that is already soaking Texas independently of the hurricane, he said.

This storm looks really scary. My thoughts are definitely with those in its path.

My gosh!! I haven't been watching the news lately, so this is the first I'm hearing of it. Prayers to all in it's path!

Very scary and the speed by which it grew to a cat 5 may prove to be devastating. There were no preparations under way just 24 hrs ago because it was a little nothing storms.t escalated to a cat 5 literally in a matter of hours. Hoping those in its path are okay
