I know I have the antibody so I know I was exposed as a child at some point. I guess that explains why some think I am a little crazy....

Pmartinez - how do you know you have the antibody?
It came up on my results when I got testing done while pregnant. It initially freaked me out as I had never heard of this and I thought I "had it". Doctor explained that I was fine and I had the antibodies indicating at some point I had been exposed. We had 6 cats at home during my childhood years.

It's a simple & widely available blood test (largely used - at least in the U.S. - to screen people who are immuno-compromised)
