I would try a hard reboot (press the home button and power button together until you see the apple on the screen). In my experience, iPads can be a little squirrelly, but hard reboot fixes most issues for me.

That would scare me silly. I am really starting to question the quality of Apple products, a statement I would not have made just a few years ago. And that makes me very sad.
But I'm glad your iPad seems to be behaving again.
Rebooting is generally the first thing I try whenever weird problems occur. Nine times out of ten, that does the trick. It's worked with Apple products, Android products, a Chromebook, and even routers. "Try the simplest thing first" is the rule in our house.

Safari cannot open page because it is not connected to the internet, this is the message I just got. I was using it just 5 minutes ago. The router seems to be working, and all plugs around the desktop area the area are tightly connected. Anyone know what the problem could be? Using Xfinity
