Did you ever make contact with the Rec. Dept about the equipment they are removing from DeHart Park?I believe that it was in good shape save for the swings ..maybe it has not been disposed of yet .
Kudos to the fundraising team for a fabulous job!
Does this mean that the new equipment will be installed this year, at least in part?
That is the plan! We'd like to see the fundraising efforts completed this year, and the playground FULLY built for the next school year. We are so close! Any contribution is greatly appreciated (or just check out the adorable video featuring some of our Marshall-Jefferson kids)!

I made a donation. I spent many hours at that playground when my kids were little.

Thank you @tjohn! Much appreciated!
Where can we see the grand total? The gofundme site only shows a portion.
Is the gofundme site the best way to contribute? Or is it preferred that I send a check in with the flyer sent home with my daughter?
is this a registered non-profit charity? if so, I believe I can get matching funds from my company for anything I donate.
We've been announcing the grand total daily in the school eblasts. As of this morning we are at $88,000 (including what is indicated on the GoFundMe site).
The best way to contribute is via check, as the PTA gets 100% of the donation. The Jefferson PTA is a registered 501(c)3 charity. Please email jeffersonplayground@gmail.com and we can get you the paperwork your company will need to match the donation.
I contributed as well. I'm amazed how this has all come together in such a short time. Nice work, everyone! I can't wait to see all the kids enjoying the new playground.
Promote your business here - Businesses get highlighted throughout the site and you can add a deal.
Are we there yet?! Almost!!
After 6 months of sustained fundraising, the Jefferson Playground Fund has $80,000 in hand, with another few thousand from matching funds and private parties anticipated. This is exciting news and a testament to the commitment and dedication of, not only the Marshall-Jefferson community, but the larger South Orange-Maplewood community as well.
