Jersey Shore Roller Coasters?

We've never been to any of the shore amusement parks.  If we wanted to do a day trip to ride a roller coaster or two, where should we go?  TIA!

Haven't been on it, but there is a new one on the Seaside Heights boardwalk which replaced the one lost in Sandy

6 Flags is not the shore but I doubt the shore has anything like the crazy brain damaging coasters they have at 6 Flags.

We're considering Six Flags - we've just never done the "coaster on the shore" experience so we thought we'd look into it.  Wildwood looks fun but it's far.  We might do Seaside Heights.

Not the Jersey Shore but it’s hard to beat the Cyclone in Coney Island. Closer than both Seaside and Wildwood and you get to throw in  a trip to the original Nathan’s!

And the beach is big and the water is clean. And the shark exhibit at the Aquarium is open!

Looking at Coney Island - thanks!

Would you recommend driving to Coney Island?  Or train?  Assuming we went on a weekday.

You can easily use public transportation (NJT and a short walk from Penn Station to the F or Q to the West 8th Street station). It's about a 45-minute drive, but finding parking nearby, especially in summer, is an experience. The Aquarium lot might be a solution but be aware that it's $40 if you are there for four hours or more.

as far as the actual Shore, Wildwood has the best rides.  They must have at least a half dozen decent coasters.  Point Pleasant has 2, neither one that great. Seaside has 1 that looks good, but a short ride...and another basic o around in circles kiddie coaster

Wildwood is just an extra hour 15 minutes past seaside.  I used to do day trips...seems far from maplewood to wildwood, but when you think its not much further than seaside...not bad for the extra time

if you go to Coney Island, definitely a weekday. The shark exhibit was amazing but the line on a weekend was an hour plus.

If you belong to the aquarium (Bronx zoo membership) parking in the lot is free. If you use the city zoos and the aquarium membership is definitely worthwhile.

Posted one of my ( poor) photos from the exhibit.

Here's one from Wildwood - I didn't ride it myself, but the people on it while I was taking pictures seemed to be enjoying it.
