Laura's FB page says she passed away while mourning for her brother-in-law.

Can this be so?

If so, a tragedy for her family & friends & us all...

People on her FB page are waiting for someone to confirm this .. everything is been heard by 2nd and 3rd hand information.

Just praying this is some sort of macabre post April Fools Day joke.. Please someone, anyone please find out the true story here.

That such a good heart appears to have stopped is an incredibly sad thing.

Does anyone have independant verification? Has anyone tried to reach out to Dan or to her children or better yet tried to reach out to Laura herself? I refuse to accept this based solely on a facebook post from someone I don't know.

I read the news here. Went to FB. Back to here. Called her cell - no answer.

This is so so so incredibly awful. I don't even know what to say other than just cry.

Dan said he'll be arranging to get the word out soon for arrangements. Laura's brother-in-law is being buried today or tomorrow, so the family is already together.

I am still in shock.

It's all so very heartbreaking. Such a horrible, difficult time for the whole family. I just can't believe it. Such a good-hearted soul.

I just heard from Tommy as well. She was already on LI helping with funeral arrangements when she apparently has an aneurism. Details to be worked out today but wake and funeral will be at Preston next week.

Laura's B-I-L's funeral is tomorrow out in Baldwin. Not dealing well. Sending love to Danny and the kids.

Folks - I'm sorry to report that my wife Laura Grace Stammers Nichols passed away last night. She was in Long Island helping my sister-in-law Deidre Stammers with funeral preparations for my late brother-in-law Adrian Allain and in the middle of a conversation she had an seizure and fell unconscious. EMTS rushed her to hospital but EMTs and ER team could not revive her. She was gone about 2:30 a.m.
Please keep me and my kids, and Dan Pupke in your prayers. Although Laura and I were living apart, we remained close in the love and support of our children. We will have a wake and funeral at Preston Funeral Home in South Orange/Maplewood - next week - I'll post details when finalized.
