Larry Hamm for Senate

Larry has been the leading civil rights leader in NJ for many years in addition to his long-time dedication to peace, civil liberties, economic and environmental justice.

He has my full support.

A former candidate who is very familiar with the process of creating the ballots in NJ explained to me and others that a Presidential Candidate needed to team with a Senate Candidate to insure good position on the ballot. This was some weeks ago. She said that Sanders had already picked a candidate but she had been sworn to secrecy about his/her identity. Now we know.

Paul's endorsement generally makes me less likely to support any candidate but I would prefer someone more progressive  and less prefab than Booker representing NJ in the Senate so  I will take a look. Booker's collusion with Christie in the special election left a lingering sour taste in my mouth.

NJ is a mess of corruption and ineptitude and will continue to be so long after the planet is sucked into the sun.

I would certainly vote for Larry Sanders but not Larry Hamm and Bernie Sanders.

Ever time someone says something like this I am reminded of the number of New York legislators and Illinois Governors who have gone jail.

That's not a comparison I would make.  It's just that our Governors and legislators are very good at evading responsibility.

"A Jersey tradition: Mayors indicted over the past decade and what happened to them"

eta - I did a search because I knew a couple of the politicians who were sent to jail in Operation Bid Rig - a councilman in Long Branch and his brother who was mayor of West Long Branch. There are other cases that aren't mentioned in the article. The mayor of Ocean Township went to jail for taking a bribe to approve a development.
