Slightly off topic, but my new mashed potato trick is throwing in a brick of soft cream cheese. I can’t believe I’d never tried this before. Gives them a great consistency. 

Is that in addition to the butter and cream?

Potatoes are a vehicle for consuming butter, sour cream, etc.
