Milkweed pods and plants - who wants some?

I have common milkweed pods and plants in my backyard. You're free to pull plants from the ground for replanting. Better chance of growing next year than from seed, I think, as long as you can get some root stock when pulled. Beware - this will spread! If interested, please pm me and we can coordinate. This is what I have. Lots of healthy leaves for any Monarchs who might be hungry as well.

Hi Cats!!!

By spread - do you mean like mint/bamboo spread?

I would love some! I will pm you now.

Carol Anne - sent you a pm.

erins - yes, invasive type spreading. Takes a few years but, yes.

Did you have any monarch caterpillars on them?

Unfortunately, no Monarchs or caterpillars. Was hoping to help the situation by providing what they need. Only time will tell.

Have you considered donating some of the pods to the seed exchange at the library?

Hmm, Joan, that's an idea! I know the person who manages that (seed exchange) and I'm also in the Maplewood Garden Club.

addiemoose - I just sent you a message.
