MOL Discussion Category filter - removing the political drivel

I just figured out how to remove the political nonsense from my forum list:
Click "Categories" heading on the top left (under "Start a New Discussion")
The list of categories will appear
In the shaded box for each category, there will be an "Options" dropdown on the right
Click "unfollow"
And voila! No more "rose gardens", no more "plumbing," no more nonsense!

Correct. This discussion started before the change to the new server on 15 April. The instructions are only relevant on the old forum. The category blocking will happen at some point. Hang in there.

I never had an avatar in the old MOL, but thanks to your avatar-shaming, I do now! It was tough to find a rose garden photo so I chose Keith Moon instead...
