More water woes

I started posting about our water woes at thanksgiving when we got water in our basement for the first time in 10 years. At the big thaw in March, we were completely flooded and many of you were helpful in recommending solutions. Well now after spending 7K on a french drains and sump pump and repairing all the dry wall and floors in the basement, we are getting water still. It is backing up from somewhere and no one can figure it out. We have had 2 plumbers and Gregory Waterproofing in to look at it. Now a plumber is coming with a camera to see what is going on in the outside lines. Does anyone have any experience with this or suggestions?

You mention a 25 year warranty for the waterproofing job in your other thread; does that company have any comment?  Is the source of water the same, or a different location now? Is it with every rain?  Hard to offer suggestions without more info.

Sorry for your trouble, btw!

If you have outside drainage pipes underground, make sure none are cracked or clogged and none are disconnected underground... I spent a couple of grand to replace a small portion of one that was clogged with a root causing water from my gutters to drain back up and under my pavers and straight into my basement. Since repaing this and building a moat of sort to redirect my neighbor's runoff water in my yard, I no longer get water in my basement... knock on wood..

seaweed--that is exactly what we did yesterday with the plumber. Both the plumber and the waterproofing company think it was a separate issue but it seems weird they happened right after one another.

No roots but lots of sediment and gunk in the pipe. Hopefully we will stay dry now.

On another note: one plumber came and told us that we needed rooted but he didn't do it and then charged us $150 for coming out to the house. Is that normal?

Normal if he scoped it, yes.
