Need good lighting store OR lighting designer

Hello. For our kitchen renovation, I need a lighting expert to help us figure out the best lighting for our cathedral ceiling. We're already doing LEDs there, but I need help with figuring out pendants that will work. Any recommendations for local good lighting stores that really know their stuff OR even a lighting designer, appreciated.

Great thread! What kind of under cabinet lights are you using? Upcoming is a kitchen remodel in the new house. It would be great to use LEDs.

My last kitchen remodel was 6-7 years ago when LEDs were not even remotely affordable. I used a combination of Profile flourescents and halogens -- I'd prefer to use neither.

/p

I haven't even gotten to under-cabinet lights because priority is choosing pendant lights, but here's a good search to give you ideas: https://www.google.com/search?q=under+cabinet+lighting&espv=2&biw=1600&bih=1139&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=8gOfVZjUB421yAT1mImgCA&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAg

I am not sure that a lighting store can give you good suggestions without actually seeing the space. Have you tried searching on Houzz or Remodelista to see if there are any comparable spaces? Alternatively, look at the websites for Rejuvenation, Schoolhouse Electric and Restoration Hardware to see if there are comparable spaces and styles.

It might be worth a trip to Cooper Electric, 168 Ridgedale Ave in Morristown, NJ
