NY Knicks 2015-16 thread

New season, new team but not a horrible looking squad. I think we can pull an 8 seed in the east however we are an 18pt and 10reb player away from being taken serious. Draft pick is looking decent but at least 2 years away from being that player.

Fontcourt is a strength, backcourt a weakness, at least until Grant a Galloway mature a bit and Afflalo is healthy. Calderon and Vujajic are not starting caliber players.

I agree. Didn't want Calderone back this season and didn't see the resoning behind the Sasha signing. I like what I've seen from Grant but he's also a few years away from becoming an impact player. The Knicks picked up Jimmer Fredette in the d-league draft on Saturday. Not sure how much worse than Calderone he'd be but he'd def be cheaper.

IMHO, as long as Carmelo is on the roster the Knicks will not contend for an NBA title.

No one is going to appreciate the excellence that is Carmelo Anthony until he is retired. I never take the "he'll never win" predictions seriously. Watch closely and you'll see a Carmelo you havent seen since Nuggets days. I'm betting a lot has to do with health and teammates.

This years team can't win the championship but they will be fun and exciting to watch. Posting and Toasting blog loves Porzingas and has a million nicknames for him. My personal favorite is Porzingawd.

Not many people questioning the moves of Phil Jackson these days. Looks like he cleared lots of deadwood, deadend players and recruiting some winners.

Who would have thought Derrick Williams would looks so good?

I think, barring major injuries, theres a good chance this teams wins 40+ games.

Knicks finally got the first home win but Affalo not back yet. Galloway trying to prove last year was a fluke. KP is getting a lot of accolades because most fans thought he'd be worse than he actually plays. Not following the ROY banter or per 36 minutes stats. Happy with his play so far and hope he continues to do so.
