NYCC tickets on sale tomorrow 12pm

Its that time again! New York Comic Con tickets go on sale at 12pm tomorrow 5/13. Best of luck to all.

Ooh -- thanks for the heads-up. Does it tend to sell out? Is it fun for kids? Looks like there are Sunday activities / cheap tix for kids. Thanks!

It sells out in a matter of hours. I don't have kids and i'm my 30's but i likely would have thought it was cool when I was a kid.

I think my son would really love this...bummed that it's Columbus Day weekend! We go away then every year. It's right before his birthday too. Maybe another year!

Anyone going to Special Edition NYC next month? It's the little brother to the big show and I love it - much calmer and focused on the creators instead of promoting movies/tv shows. Some amazing talent will be there - I was able to arrange for a few commissions and am looking forward to meeting some of my favorite creators.

Freeway, do you think it's relatively easy to re-sell the tickets if it ends up one can't use them? Thanks again for the info.

Going to Special Edition as a VIP. If I cant get my tickets today I'll be in line on day 1 of special edition to buy them there.

In years previous tickets would appear on places like ebay, stubhub , facebook and CL. There was some backlash last year when 4 day and vip tickets appeared on reseller sites several minutes after official ticket sales started. I know there is a limit to tickets one can buy and i'm sure in the fine print somewhere it says tickets cannot be resold or transferred. Every year I've gone there have been scalpers directly infront of the javits center.

Any luck, Freeway? I've been sitting in an endless queue, and/or timing out on server requests.

Took a while but I was able to reserve Sunday tickets. Thanks again for the tip!

Any advice on Saturday vs. Sunday for a newbie teen, if I ever manage to get through?

@susan1014  I'm no expert, but my teen wants Saturday tickets.  I am in the virtual queue on 3 devices and am starting to think it's going to be a take-what-you-can-get situation, if I'm able to get tickets at all..  The most important advice I can give is that your kid needs to be able to handle crowds.  This will be the first year that we are sending kids alone, and I am so glad to reach that parenting milestone, as I cannot handle those kind of crowds.

For my kid it's all about dressing up and mingling with "her people".  And shopping.  I think either day is good for that.

Thanks....if I ever get in, I've scored an excellent birthday gift.  If I don't, at least I get credit for trying, since I don't think this ticket sale was on her radar.

Saturday was sold out, so about to close the deal on Sunday.
Daughter got home in time to verify that she'd be thrilled to go, even on Sunday (I decided to spoil the surprise, in case I was dead wrong).  She is very impressed that I thought of this myself.
I definitely have more "Mom cred" today than I did yesterday.  Let's see how many minutes that lasts!

Absolute sithshow. Knew the website was going to crash so i hung back on facebook. Clicked the link as soon as it was posted. Hour and 10 with numerous 408 error and other freezing. Snagged 2 4 day passes. Its getting to the point where ticket web or ticket master needs to step in. ReedPop can't handle the sales.

Worked fine for me, but perhaps because I only joined later (after belatedly opening this thread -- many thanks).  By the time I got there, the multiday passes and Saturday were sold out, but the system was working.

I found the queue far preferable to trying the same website over and over again, hoping to get in.  Sorry to hear it wasn't working as well for everyone.

Its a mess every year

Such a drag. Sorry to those folks who got stuck.

I know that NYCC is a fun crazy time, but as a grouchy old person, I *really* hope that Special Edition can keep its odd balance of high profile guests and small show feel for those of us that just want to hang out in a giant Artists Alley without fighting crowds or standing in lines.

Special Edition NYC this weekend! NYCC tix will be on sale there as well.

Going on Sunday and can't wait. Let me know if you'll be there - I've got cool podcast stickers to share!
