North Jersey Orchid Society postponed the traditonal 'Valentine's Auction' till the March meeting, which is tonight at The Hanover Manor, 16 Eagle Rock Avenue, East Hanover (dinner at 7 PM, auction at 8 PM). Free admission ($15 with dinner).

96 orchids, mix of species & hybrids, are up for auction, value ranges from $10 to $50 or more.

Auctions with unusual/rare orchids:

Aug 13: North Jersey Orchid Society at The Hanover Manor in East Hanover,

Doors open at 6 PM for preview, optional buffet dinner at 7 PM ($15.00) and auction at 8 PM, cash or check only.

Oct 11: Deep Cut Orchid Society, at Monmouth Reform Temple, 332 Hance Ave, Tinton Falls

Doors open at 11 AM, auction starts at noon (400+ plants), food & snacks will be available.

Reminder: Deep Cut Orchid Society auction on Sunday.

Since there are +/-400 plants, many will sell at very reasonable prices, so it is very worthwhile to hang out for (& with) plant heads.

Also, there will be about 30 plants from the estate of a recently departed South Jersey grower. These plants are reportedly quite unique.
