Ornamental Grasses

Where would be a good nursery/plant store that would have zebra or lemon grass ready for fall planting?  TIA.

Lemon grass is a tropical herb used in Thai dishes.  It has to be brought indoors for the winter in NJ.  It is usually available in Maplewood Garden Club plant sale in May.

I found this when I googled Zebra grass:

USDA zones 5 to 9 are ideal for zebra grass planting. Work in compost or leaf litter to a depth of at least 6 inches prior to installing the plant. Space the plants 36 to 48 inches apart and install in spring when the plant is mostly dormant.

Interesting. We read the best time to plant was fall. Now not so sure.

I have a new area to fill, so have been doing lots of plant shopping this fall, online and locally, and am not finding great selections of grasses anywhere. (Not sure if spring planting is really preferred, but it's when most people think about their gardens so there is usually more available.)  The Farm at Green Village had a good many, but I'm wary of invasiveness with many of the common varieties.

I'm interested too.  I'm doing a lot of landscaping over the next couple seasons and want to incorporate some ornamental grasses.  I see good examples and bad around town.  Will follow this thread with interest.

I got ornamental grass planted a couple of weeks ago. I purchased them at J&M in Madison.
