Please-The Walking Dead-Season 6 Episode 1!

Finished season 5 on Netflix tonight. Figured we could watch season 6 on demand. Well, we can except episode 1 is not there! This is a desperate situation LOL Where can we find episode 1 of season 6!?!?!

If you don't, you can purchase it on Amazon for $2 or so.

(Though reading your comment, it seems likely you DO have a cable provider, duh.)

I have Verizon FIOS but when I go to on demand , it has episodes 2-6 of season 6. I will try Amazon. Thanks!

By the way, 16 yr old nephew suggested imtv.cc and this seems to be a great resource for watching live or recent tv on iPad. (haven't tried it yet though) I prefer the big tv so I am going to try the Amazon route tonight.

I am a few episodes out from finishing Season 5 and I'm having second thoughts about proceeding to Season 6. Anyone wish to discuss? Shall I start a new thread? I don't see a dedicated Walking Dead thread.

My issue is that it's always the same: flee, kill a bunch of zombies, meet new people, lose old people, kill a bunch of zombies, kill some people, flee, kill a bunch of zombies, flee. Nobody creates a lasting family, no one finds or creates a home, no one changes or grows or learns anything compelling or lasting. No relationships last (except perhaps Maggie and Glen and what have they done with their relationship? Nothing.) and no one is wiser about their post-apocalyptic situation than they were in Season 1.

Abraham, Eugene, et al were all interesting characters but as of now, they've gone nowhere and done
nothing. Terminus was lame: lots of build up but more of the same. I thought Beth and Daryl would build on their relationship but, no, nothing. (I still have a few Season 5 episodes to watch so no spoilers, please.)

I haven't read the online blogs or Reddit or anything. I don't think that should be necessary to enjoy a show like this.

Thoughts?

Hmm. To me, the transformation of people especially Rick is what makes the show so intriguing. First off, the first few seasons revealing what is worst about mankind and how the people are what are to be feared in a world full of zombies. Rick going from good cop to what he is now (and I see him evolve every season) and how he tries to reconcile those parts of himself are really cool. The character of someone like Hershel in contrast and sort of the "conscious" of Rick was one of my favorite dynamics. Daryl evolves quite a bit through Beth in season 5 and I liked that too. I think they evolve and change the most in the situation they get into in season 6. Can Rick balance his dark side and lead in a way that s something other than they way he led before? I can't elaborate without spoiling it for you but I think we see the most conflict and growth inside the characters in season 6. I like season 5 and 6 the best so far so I suggest you keep going.
