Pride Fest going on now!

We went around 2pm for a few hours. We had a fantastic time! We made our way through the food area, walked through the vendor area and then plopped down for the show. The girl from The Voice was really good. The MC was hilarious as he made his way out in the crowd.

Thank you to those who make this happen. I'm so happy to just head to Memorial Park for Pride rather than trek into the city (although that's super fun too).

That was so much fun

I just want to point out to @ml1 that I got the guy on the stage at the top of his jump in this shot. I'm practicing for you baby.

This was a really nice event! I was at a vendor table all day and I thought the energy was really good and people were having a nice mellow time. The music was great and as the weather cooled a bit in the later afternoon the attendance really picked up. I'm so happy that our community is the centerpiece for this event!

The event was amazing, another key reason why our awesome community rocks. But this morning I was quite surprised to see the state of disarray that the park was left in by the organizers / town. Garbage strewn all over the hill and then some. Aren't organizers responsible for leaving the park in the same condition it was when they set up? Doesn't anyone from the town oversee to ensure this? It's a shame the rubbish left behind is a blemish on an otherwise fabulous draw for the MWD/SO area.

That is really disappointing. Generally vendors are responsible for cleaning up whatever they bring in.

Some were less diligent than others. I know we brought out everything we brought in. I did see MPW workers there after 6 cleaning up, so I'm surprised there's still a lot of garbage still around.

I will say that two things would have been nice - in case the organizers are reading this! oh oh There didn't seem to be many trash cans located "down the hill," which is where our vendor tent was located. Maybe a few more cans spread around would help at least make cleanup a little easier.

And also, next year, if there's any way to have a vendor stationed closer to the stage with water that would be amazing. It was such a hot day and a pretty long walk from where we were (Oakview side) to the food court area. I'm not sure if a "roving" vendor would be possible like at baseball games but that person would have made a small fortune!

wonderful event and a beautiful day!
