Radio ablation for hip pain?

I just learned of radio ablation therapy today and it appears to be effective at relieving arthritic hip pain. Of which I have much of.

Anyone have any experience with it, or have doc recommendations?

Am also interested in anyone's experiences (2 cervical spine surgeries to relieve pain caused by arthritis).

 Feel better soon, DB.

Not sure if this is the same thing but I get radiofrequency treatments for my back.

My place puts you under so you dont move while they have the needle/probe in your back by the spine.  It doesnt last that long for me for some reason, but the other patients who get it done say it lasts at least 6 months.  I also get monthly injections to help with the pain.

They are unable to figure out why nothing has worked on my back.  Well I mean short of having a major surgery.  Which I cant/wont have, I am afraid if something went wrong my wife would have to take care of two of us in wheelchairs.   And even if it went right, they are talking about six months to a year of recovery time.

yeah, I'll try. Arthritis sucks. I've been considering hip replacement but I'm concerned it will mess up my racquetball playing. I figured this alternative sounded promising. Now just have to find a doctor. I thought my orthopedic surgeon might do it, but it looks like it's not his bailiwick.

My girlfriend was considering major back surgery herself, but came across a doctor, almost accidentally, who suggested ablation. She's having her first treatment tomorrow.

No experience to report nor recommendation to give.

But it may not be just hocus pocus. It is biologically plausible. If, for instance, the radio was making you get up and move it all about. Excessively.
