this one is from the 80s, but when I drove to South Jersey, I couldn't escape Ron Perlstein diamonds ads on WMMR.  

"See Ron, see Ron, see Ron, see Ron Perlstein..."


Somewhere I have an old 45 with the Palisades Park theme song "You'll have fun! So come on over!"


when I was a kid my dad was an avid NewsRadio88 listener. One of their big sponsors was Gramercy Park Clothes. The announcer would tell listeners to come in and ask for "Bearded Mike or Bela the Fella."

That’s him all right.   

Started in the early 70’s, crashed and burned in the late 80’s.

ETA: I just discovered that Dick Orkin, the adman who created Chickenman, died last month at age 84. Rest in peace.


they blew up the Chickenman decades ago. They blew up his house too.
