Good suggestion. I ordered it last night, it was here today, free shipping.

Forgive an ally asking a stupid question. Which stripe goes on the top, Black, purple, red? I've seen it all ways

I think it swings both ways....

Red is the top. Purple is the bottom.

I knew it had to be something else.

Human Rights Campaign. www.hrc.org

Melech Ric and I have been HRC members for many years. They’ve done a lot of good work.

My millennial lgbtqa activist kid has told me (a few years back) that their record regarding some of the more marginalized subgroups (nonwhite/trans, I think) was not so good. I hope that has improved.

I went to the parade today.  Got to the Village at about 2pm and it was wall to wall people.   Walked up to 19th and Broadway and went to a movie at 4:45.  Came out and the parade was still going!   It was endless!   Watched it for another hour and then came home.

I have never seen a more joyous celebration of people than I saw today.  And I've never seen a bigger parade.  Quite awesome.

 Did you see “Yesterday?”

You gotta admit, it’s beautiful!

Yes it is.

And I would like to thank Amazon for delivering my flags today instead of the promised date of Friday.

Not.

Yes I agree. I was there and I am so glad that I went

We had a great time at the parade! Packed sidewalks everywhere. We settled in at the corner of Christopher and Waverly for a good long while, and as sbenois said, it seemed endless. We stopped for a bite at a nice vegematic place on Greenwich, right near the bar where Melech Ric and I met all those decades ago. We also hung out for a bit on 7th Ave where I was so happy to see 2 separate Canadian contingents pass by.  Then, like the old farts we are, we headed home early, on a train that was SRO.

We missed the Metropolitan Opera float, but my voice teacher was kind enough to send me this clip of Stephanie Blythe, one of the Met’s leading mezzos.

Short but sweet. What an amazing video clip. I teared up n the very first few seconds for so many reasons I can hardly think of them all.
