Recommend local dentist / periodontist who specializes in implants
Dr. Eric Weiss in Livingston did an implant for me several years ago, on the recommendation of Dr. Justin Fried. Dr. Weiss's website is: https://www.njperio.net and the phone number is: 973-992-8600.
Just finished with an implant. Fried's younger partner, Dr. Zachella, sent me to the younger guy in Dr. Weiss's office, Dr. Moisa. I liked both Zachella and Moisa, but Zachella is the guy who handled the actual placement and cementing of the implant. So, maybe start with your regular dentist and see what s/he says? Good luck.
"cementing of the implant" - not sure but thought it was preferred that implants were screw retained? See Dr. Barry Wagenberg in Livingston. He is the first choice for many dentists themselves.

What's odd is that Dr. Z in Fried's practice was the one recommending I go back to the original implant doc....

Probably meant cementing the crown.
So through my insurance I saw Dr. Doner. He immediately sent me to Dr. Bagoff. https://www.bagoffdentalarts.com/contents/meet/meet-your-doctors/dr-robert-m-bagoff He was simply great. Drilled through part of my crown to get to the screw to my abutment and tightened it. Done. Had lunch at McLoone's Boathouse immediately after.
Unlike the 4 different dentists I've seen since my crown/abutment/implant was loose, he knew exactly what to do and did it right then and there today on the spot, no appointment. Posting to be helpful for others in the future who might have problems with their dental implants.

Quite reasonable for the amount work done and the quality of the work. Tooth is now tight as ever. Those implants are really remarkable - seeing him basically ratchet-tighten the abutment screw made me feel like I was in the garage, however....

The abutment on my 17-year-old implant is loose. The implant was put in by a dentist in Houston, TX - I was willing to fly down there to have him take care of it but he said someone competent locally should be able to tighten it and re-cement the crown. Sooooo, please let me know of any good implant specialists nearby.
