Recommendation: Occupational Therapist

Hi, It is 1.5 wks. late, but I finally got the opportunity to see the orthopedist, and he recommended beginning therapy. I need to work my wrist, has anyone worked with someone local they recommend?

Kessler Institute both in house in West Orange and as an out patient in Third Avenue South Orange.

The work they have done on my bulging disc has helped me avoid any further medical work.

If you need to use someone in-network due to insurance coverage requirements, get a list of occupational therapists who are in-network and within an acceptable travel distance of your location and ask here for specific feedback.

If you are not limited to practitioners in-network, ask your orthopedist and any physical therapist you may have worked with for recommendations.

I know Summit Medical Group has hand specialists.

Accelerated Hand Therapy on Northfield Ave is where my surgeon sent me. They accepted my insurance which isn't always accepted. BTW that was for a broken wrist.

Thank you. I have begun making calls. My hard cast is off, and now I Have something that I can take off to wash my hands. I am surprised at how much mobility I have lost in roughly a month, and I am eager to get it back.
